Our Pillars

Conservation

Protection and care of the natural world are at the heart of what we do. We change lives through conservation, knowing that when we care for our planet, we care for ourselves and each other. We as people are custodians of this Earth, and it is our responsibility to protect wildlife and promote biodiversity so that all life can thrive.

Sustainability

At Kestrel Valley, we are concerned with the sustainability of the environment as well as the wellbeing of our projects and our community. Environmentally, we try to design systems that eliminate the wasting of resources and employ various projects aimed at restoring ecosystems, achieving a balanced system. Connected with this, is the increased benefits to our community through education, life-changing experiences, connecting with nature, employment, addressing issues such as human-wildlife conflict, and benefits from local ecotourism.

Education

Education is vital to any aspect of life. To grow and implement change, knowledge and understanding is first required. We start with embedding the understanding that everything is interconnected – what we do as humans is never in isolation, it impacts ecosystems. An approach of understanding and tolerance of different cultures, areas, species and the challenges facing each, fosters the willingness to work together toward the common goal of changing lives through conservation.
